The Green Code Acoustic Slab^® is an industrially prefabricated slab element for optimizing room acoustics. The concrete panel integrates truss connectors, load-bearing longitudinal reinforcement, minimum transverse reinforcement, and where necessary, punching shear reinforcement. The automatically installed GC box is factory-integrated directly into the slab. Resonance bodies are positioned over the openings, spanning one or multiple openings and partially filled with acoustic material – for targeted acoustic performance.

The slab soffit can be flexibly designed: open with visible opening slots, acoustically optimized with absorbers, or aesthetically refined with pigmented stain or the Green Code Akustikfinish^® for a white surface.

With the Green Code Acoustic Slab^®, room acoustics can be flexibly adapted to specific needs. Depending on the design, high sound absorption values are achieved, which creates a pleasant sound profile, particularly in the mid and low frequency ranges.

The slab soffit can be designed with narrow opening slots in visible design or filled with special acoustic elements. Behind this lies the GC box functioning as a resonance body. On site, mineral wool insulation and an air-permeable fleece are installed, allowing the GC box to function as a Helmholtz-resonator that provides acoustic optimization of the room.

Depending on the design variant, a rated sound absorption coefficient (αw) of up to 0.4 can be achieved (with α = 0.6 in the mid and low frequency range).

The ceiling soffit can either be left with visible slot openings or be filled with acoustic absorbers. After assembly of the elements on site, installation of additional reinforcement layers, and curing of the in-situ concrete, an acoustically optimized, monolithic ceiling system is created.
