The housing project in Innsbruck shows how precast concrete elements can not only be used to produce a beautiful end product, but also to save costs and resources. In Innsbruck's Reimmichlgasse, an innovative pioneer project in the field of residential construction was created. This was made possible by the client himself in cooperation with beaufort architects from Innsbruck, the precast concrete manufacturer PROGRESS AG from Brixen and a competent as well as experienced construction company. The result is something very special, because for the first time precast concrete elements such as slabs or core-insulated walls were used in a high-quality residential project.

From the outset, the objectives of the project were to give the building project a special touch, to make a positive contribution to the cityscape and townscape in the west of Innsbruck, and to set high architectural standards. All this led to the decision to use precast concrete elements. These building elements without a plaster facade and thick thermal insulation are in fact still something very special in this form. For the successful implementation of the project, the excursions were very valuable for all those involved, during which objects in residential construction and hotels built with precast concrete elements were inspected.

Prefabrication is the future in residential construction. However, the advantages of systems such as thermal walls can only be optimally exploited if the requirements resulting from the technology are taken into account in advance in all project phases.
