Air Circulation and Significant Temperature Differences with Conventional Convection Heating
Conventional radiators emit heat in only a small part as radiant heat due to their design. Most of the heat is transferred to the surrounding air – warm air rises toward the slab while cooler air flows in to replace it. The air in the entire room begins to circulate, and bodies in the room – floor, walls, sofa, table, etc. – are only warmed by the passing air and are therefore always cooler than the air itself. The temperature differences from top to bottom are very large, which is quickly perceived as uncomfortable.

The Green Code Climatic Slab® creates natural temperature regulation through radiation instead of air movement: heat and cooling are delivered directly to surfaces such as floors, walls, and furniture. The ceiling as the largest effective surface makes the system particularly efficient – entirely without convection and its disruptive side effects.
Since air quality remains unchanged, a physiologically sensible climate is created that corresponds to the natural heat perception of humans: approximately 70% of heat regulation occurs through radiation, warm surfaces compensate for heat losses, cool surfaces prevent overheating.
