Company building Isny - Edelrid and Red Chili

For the growing consortium of the Edelrid and Red Chili brands, the existing company building in Isny was extended with an annex that provides additional office space, a test room and a reception area with exhibition. For the planning, a relationship of trust has already developed between Edelrid and Pro-Bau as a result of previous construction projects, and they place a high value on on-time and cost-effective construction. To meet this requirement, only three basic types of prefabricated wall elements are used here, which are repeatedly installed in almost identical form and construction - as a design feature and to reduce costs.

The three-story extension orients its floor heights to the existing building and has a partial basement. Its staircase connects the two structures and adjoins a test room with a climbing wall that extends from the basement to below the roof. The office spaces are open plan: A ring of individual offices, open office areas and rest rooms is arranged around a central middle zone with a kitchenette, restrooms, copier and meeting rooms. The LED lighting in the building is controlled by motion and light sensors, and a ventilation system ensures hygienic air exchange.

In the search for a shell for this system of use, the desire arose for a clear structure and an unobtrusively honest building material. The choice was made in favour of Green Code thermal walls and double walls from Concrete Rudolph.
